One thing that is important with becoming a better runner
is improving you eating habits! One thing you can do to start is
meal planning the week before. Your daily calories should have a
a limit of at least 1500-2000 calories depending on your age and
weight. You should always start off your day with a cold glass of
water and either a smoothie or some fruit like bannanas, bannanas
are really good for runners because they provide lots of potassium
and electrolytes.
Here is an example of what you should eat during the week. On monday
Wake up and eat some yogurt with fruit then for lunch eat a bowl
of salad with some vegtables and for dinner eat some chicken with
some salad, vegtables, and fruit. On tuesday eat some oatmeal and
have a smoothie with some oats and some fruit and after take a bannana
then for lunch have a bowl of soup and some fruit
When ever you are doing a hard workout It is always important to bring water a bannnana an apple or bread because all of those are good to eat befor a race and won't hurt your stomach when running.
